Recent advances in the field of biomedical sciences have been fuelled by the development of electronic equipment and instruments with versatile capabilities and applications. Section III focuses on therapeutic equipment like electric stimulators used in patient care and research. Section IV focuses on special topics such as medical procedures that usually expose the patient to more hazards than the typical home or workplace and the sources include air-water chemicals drugs microorganisms noise electricity radiation from X-ray ultrasound microwaves and lasers etc. A glossary at the end of the text provides a quick reference to the reader.
