The ultimate objective of technical education is to develop relevant skills, creativity and competence among the students to enable them to perform the tasks effectively and efficiently later in the world of work. Practical work consists of tasks which require some manipulation of apparatus or some action. To achieve these goals and to reduce the writing workload to some extent to the students, this Practical Notebook of Pharmacology and Toxicology for Second Year Diploma in Pharmacy has been written according to new syllabus as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, Education Regulation, 1991. This Practical Notebook contains 17 experiments, is well illustrated with graphs, and gives experimental data to make the experiments more meaningful to the students. Blank pages provided at the end of the Manual can be used by the students for writing additional experiments guided by the teachers, depending on the availability of reagents and infrastructure of the concerned laboratory.
